About The Role

The Product Manager is a pivotal PayU leadership role, offering a unique opportunity to take part in shaping and driving PayU’s offering. You will play a key role in implementing our long-term strategy, product roadmap, feature set, and market success by continually working on improvements in EMEA Approval Rates.

This role is inherently cross-functional – and requires close work and collaboration with counterparts in product Development, Sales, legal, compliance, operations, and technical teams to improve the approval rate performance and increase customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be part of the product and strategy team of a growing global organization, responsible for improving the acceptance rate across EMEA, identifying improvement opportunities working together with different partners in each one of the local markets. Prioritizing and leading short, mid, and long term projects with cross-functional teams to improve the approval rate performance and increase customer satisfaction.

You’ll advocate for the voice of our merchants and developers to deliver a reliable, scalable, and secure solution that makes the PayU Payment Platform go faster.


  • Bring together cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between diverse functions

  • Understand the target market and primary user needs for a product. Direct the product management

    activities in order for our products to meet business, market segmentation and financial goals

  • Creates an annual product plan, by quarter, for overall product platform experience, including

    integration of market research, competitive analysis, product positioning and product performance

  • Preparations and presentation of data and analytics that will support marketing and sales, as well as

    department scorecards and general product success measurement

  • Organize workshops with key partners in the different local markets

  • Gather feedback from customers, partners and stakeholders

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and players

  • Understand customers’ needs

  • Become an expert in the PSP transactional flow

What you need

  • At least 5 years of product management experience in a Fintech or Payment company

  • Deep understanding and empathy for our customers

  • Ability to think strategically and develop a long-term view of where the PayU Platform is heading

  • Expertise launching and scaling platform products with public APIs, SDKs, or toolkits and maintaining

  • them across multiple versions

  • Tech/development understanding, familiar with product development lifecycle, experience working

  • scrum/rapid/agile development environments, exposure to relevant working tools

  • Desire to lead and ability to guide product strategy

  • Great relationship-building skills that helps you engage a diverse audience or customers

  • Curious by nature, obsession with the details and desire to build the right thing
