Patrick was appointed General Counsel of PayU in April 2015. He is responsible for legal, compliance, regulatory and public policy, and is a South African qualified lawyer who has worked both in private practice and in-house in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia and Dubai. Prior to joining PayU, Patrick was the head of legal, corporate and institutional for Standard Chartered Bank in the Middle East and Africa. Over the last 20 years Patrick has worked predominantly in the banking and finance sector and has worked with JPMorgan, BNP Paribas, Franklin Templeton Investments and Weil Gotshal & Manges.

Anirban Mukherjee is a part of PayU’s global leadership team and holds the position of Chief Executive officer, PayU India. Anirban brings to PayU two decades of experience in global payments, credit, and digital banking gained in the US, India, and broader Asia-Pacific region. He has long been at the forefront of a changing financial services landscape and understands the opportunities exceptionally well. Most recently, Anirban was part of the leadership team at Jio, where he drove payments, merchant services, and digital financial services, serving as the Co-CEO of Reliance Payments Solution Ltd. Prior to Jio, Anirban worked with Standard Chartered Bank in India and APAC and with CapitalOne as a senior executive leader in the US. He has an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and is an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur.

Laurent le Moal

Laurent was appointed CEO, PayU in 2016 and is a member of the Prosus Executive Team. He is responsible for developing our global fintech proposition, including all payments and credit operations across 18 high-growth markets as well as all strategic fintech investments. Laurent has guided the company to profitability and PayU’s volume of payments (TPV) has doubled in the last two years to nearly $30 billion. He has secured near to  $1 billion of investments in fintech partnerships and acquisitions, notably Citrus Pay and Paysense in India, Iyzico in Turkey and Remitly in the US, where he is also a member of the board.  Laurent holds an MBA from the London Business School and is a graduate of Bocconi University in Italy and HEC in France.

A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, Moondhra is also an MBA from the Southern Methodist University – Cox School of Business, in the US with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors. Previously, he worked as the CFO of Snapdeal, where he was also responsible for Legal, Corporate Affairs, Internal Controls and Risk. During his time at Snapdeal, Moondhra contributed to their 100X growth in GMV, raised USD 1 billion from marquee investors and closed multiple acquisitions. Over the last 20 years, Moondhra has worked with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Andersen Consulting, AT&T and Bharti Group in various roles and even spent time as an entrepreneur selling readymade kitchens in India.
